Wall of First Light
El Capitan in Yosemite National Park is one of the most well known features in the park. To the rock climbers that frequent the park, this particular side of El Cap is called "The Dawn Wall" because it is the first side to receive the first rays of the morning sun.
Until 2018, this particular face of El Cap had never been climbed without the use of aid devices to help the climbers acsend the wall. In 2018, Tommy Caldwell & Kevin Jorgeson closed a 10 year crusade to become the first rock climbers to free climb this face of El Cap.
